Linux & SQL Server Support Specialist
Requirements: Linux Systems administration, SQL Server Administration and DBA
Major UK Charity is looking for a Linux and SQL Server Support Specialist to provide Administration, Support and ongoing development to their Linux and SQL Server platform which underpins their core business applications (ERP, CRM, etc).
In order to apply, you must have strong Linux system administration skills, including Performing System Maintenance, Creating System Backups, Monitoring System Performance, providing Technical Support and Guidance and maintaining System Security. You must also have good SQL Server database administration skills, including Software installation and Maintenance, Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading, Specialised Data Handling, Database Backup and Recovery, Security, Authentication, Capacity Planning, Performance Monitoring, etc.
The Charity is currently undertaking a major transformation programme and this role is fundamental in ensuring that the infrastructure underpins their core applications, both during the digitisation programme, as well as in the future, by ensuing high availability of all applications throughout the process.
- Strong Linux System Administration skills
- Excellent SQL Server knowledge – Administration & DBA
- Strong communication skills, able to manage key stakeholder relationships and integrate and excel within a multi-cultural environment
- Can-do attitude
Please note that this a home-based role, with occasional travel (when the situation allows) to sites across the UK.
