1st and 2nd Line Support



Our International Cambridgeshire based client is looking for an experienced 1st/2nd Line IT Support Technician to join their expanding operations team.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Provide 1st / 2nd level support for users of our clients computer systems (this will include using a call logging system to track, monitor and maintain support calls).
  • Provide support to all desktops and mobile devices.
  • Provide support on all hardware peripheral devices.
  • Test and install new hardware and software liaising with team members and or suppliers/manufacturers as appropriate.
  • Perform daily operational tasks on the networked systems, to ensure that daily/weekly/monthly backups are performed and accurate records are kept.
  • Provide reports on relevant software/statistics for end user devices.
  • Engage with third parties for engineering visits and to liaise over software and hardware problems reporting and resolution.
  • Participate in the general operational, training and administrative activities of the IT Department.
  • Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required.

It is expected that you will have at least 3 years recent experience working as a 1st/2nd Line Support Technician. In addition you will have a good working of MS Desktop Software and operating systems.

It is also expected that you will have knowledge of Citrix and Cisco Hardware along with a good understanding of networks ideally within an ITIL environment.
